Identified by printed caption as Sussanne, this real photo postcard was made by a photographer signing as Everett and depicts an elderly Indigenous woman seated on a wooden plank surface outside what appears to be a storefront in Nipigon, Ontario. The RPPC format and photographic style are consistent with the 1930s, a dating supported by the newspaper headline visible in the image referencing a radio contest.

Sussanne wears a dark knitted toque, a patterned woven shawl over a striped shirt, and laced leather shoes. A floral-printed blanket or fabric rests across her lap, and she holds a folded newspaper bearing the partial headline referencing a Plymouth Auto and a "Big Hard Radio Contest" while raising one hand to her mouth.

The printed caption at the bottom of the image reads: "Here's Sussanne, An old timer with modern ideas at Nipigon Ont." with the photographer credit "Photo By Everett" appearing at lower right.
