Collection of nine nineteenth-century tintype photographs depicting a variety of group portraits and outdoor scenes. The images include several multi-figure compositions showing men and women posed together, along with a number of family and social group portraits typical of late nineteenth-century vernacular photography.

Subjects include seated groups of women wearing fashionable hats and dresses, mixed gatherings of men and women posed outdoors among rocks or trees, and several large family groupings arranged in rows. One image depicts a reclining figure posed outdoors, while another shows a group standing in a wooded setting. The most distinctive photograph features a young boy seated on horseback in an outdoor setting, the plate housed within a later protective sleeve.

The tintypes vary in size and tone, with several plates retaining clipped corners typical of examples originally intended for paper mats. Surface wear, light abrasions, and tonal variations consistent with period tintypes are present throughout.

An appealing lot of nineteenth-century tintypes highlighting social gatherings, family groups, and outdoor portraiture.
