William Holman Hunt (1827–1910) was an English painter and a founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, known for works such as The Light of the World and The Awakening Conscience. He was one of the central figures of the Pre-Raphaelite movement and remained active throughout the Victorian period.

Photographer’s imprint on mount reads The London Stereoscopic & Photographic Company, 110 and 108 Regent Street and 54 Cheapside, London. Printed advertising and exhibition awards appear on the reverse.
