Tintype copy portrait depicting Henry C. Morris, shown in Confederate military dress and identified by name on the accompanying mount. The image presents Morris standing and facing the camera, wearing a buttoned Confederate jacket with shoulder straps, and equipped with two revolvers worn at the waist, one on each side. The original image is reproduced here as a tintype copy, a common wartime and postwar practice used to preserve or recirculate earlier photographs. The subject is explicitly identified in the provided material as a Virginia Confederate soldier who died during the Civil War.

The composition emphasizes Morris’s military bearing and armament, with both sidearms clearly visible and intentionally displayed. His uniform and weapons firmly place the portrait within the Confederate context of the Civil War era. The oval vignette presentation and studio-style backdrop indicate the image derives from an earlier formal portrait, subsequently copied onto a tintype plate.

The tintype is presented unframed, with trimmed corners consistent with period copy practices. The identification of Morris is supported by the accompanying materials shown, which directly associate the image with his name, Confederate service, and death during the war.
