Two boxed sections of the Edinburgh University Stereoscopic Atlas of Anatomy by Cunningham and Waterston are presented here, published by T.C. and E.C. Jack of Edinburgh and distributed in the United States by The Imperial Publishing Company, 27 East 22nd Street, New York City. Section II covers Pelvis and Thorax, and Section IV covers the Central Nervous System, Brain, Head and Neck. Each section is housed in a red cloth-covered slipcase with a printed paper label affixed to the front panel identifying the title, authors, section number, and subject areas.

The stereoview cards are printed on cream stock with paired rotary-process photographic prints mounted at the lower portion of each card, depicting cadaveric dissections with numbered reference markers keyed to anatomical figures listed in the printed text above. Subjects visible among the fanned cards include female perineum, thoracic cavity with exposed heart and ribs, mediastinal surface of the right lung, front and sagittal sections of the head and neck, and posterior cervical musculature. Each card carries a copyright notice crediting T.C. and E.C. Jack.

The Edinburgh Stereoscopic Atlas of Anatomy was a landmark medical teaching series first issued in the early twentieth century, designed to give students a three-dimensional understanding of dissected human anatomy through stereoscopic viewing. Cunningham refers to Daniel John Cunningham, the renowned Edinburgh anatomist whose manual remained a standard reference for decades after his death in 1909.

The boxes are overfilled and that cards from other sections may be intermixed within the two slipcases, and completeness of either section has not been verified.
