Beaver Brook Station along Clear Creek Canon is the subject of this albumen stereoview, number 56 in Charles Weitfle's celebrated "Views on Line of Colorado Central R.R." series published from Denver, Colorado. Weitfle was awarded the Silver Medal of the Colorado Industrial Association in both 1878 and 1879 for his photographic views of Colorado scenery, placing this view firmly within that award-winning body of work produced in the late 1870s.

A round observation platform elevated on a cross-braced timber framework dominates the left foreground, accessed by an exterior staircase. A vertical-board depot building sits to its right, flanked by a large wooden barrel tank at its base, all perched above a substantial trestle of open timber construction spanning the canyon floor. Dense conifer forest and exposed rock faces fill the steep canyon walls rising behind the structures.

Clear Creek Canon was promoted by Weitfle's reverse text as "The Switzerland of America," a 60-mile route served by the Colorado Central Railroad through Black Hawk, Central City, Idaho, and Georgetown. The series comprised over 500 views available for stereoscope or graphoscope.
