Slightly smaller than cabinet card albumen photograph titled The Landseer Trophy, showing a memorial arrangement of taxidermy animals, sporting equipment, and a carved armchair associated with Sir Edwin Landseer. The printed caption states that the group consists of animals shot by Landseer and was designed as a memorial by Edwin Ward, F.Z.S. Published by James Revell, 166 Oxford Street. Circa 1873.

The verso contains a lengthy printed account reprinted from The Graphic, November 8, 1873, describing Landseer as a painter and sportsman and detailing the assembled hunting trophies, including stag heads, deer, a bison, and other game animals arranged around a carved walnut chair presented to Landseer.
