Set of five real photo postcards depicting scenes associated with the Battle of the Little Bighorn graves amd momument at the Custer Battlefield in Montana. The images include views of the cemetery with rows of white grave markers, the Custer Monument and enclosing fence, a closer view of the monument inscription listing soldiers and scouts, and a well-known view of Comanche, Captain Keogh’s horse, identified in the caption as the sole surviving mount from the battle. Another card shows a broader landscape view of the battlefield cemetery and monument.

Each card features a printed caption within the image area identifying the subject and location as “Custer Battlefield, Montana,” with individual negative or view numbers visible. The versos are unused, printed “POST CARD / CORRESPONDENCE / ADDRESS ONLY,” consistent with early 20th century real photo postcard production.

All five examples exhibit the same surface marks and handling characteristics, suggesting they have been kept together as a group for an extended period. A cohesive and visually consistent set documenting one of the most iconic sites of the American West, with strong historical association to the 1876 campaign and its memorialization.
