Group of thirteen mid-19th century cased photographic portraits consisting of tintypes and ambrotypes, each preserved in full hinged cases with gilt mats and embossed velvet interior pads. The portraits depict men, women, children, and family groups posed in formal studio settings typical of the 1850s–1870s period. Several examples include paired sitters such as siblings, couples, and parents with children.

The subjects wear period clothing including dresses, jackets, waistcoats, and children’s garments reflecting fashions of the later nineteenth century. The cases display a range of decorative gilt mat patterns and red velvet pad designs common to American cased photography. Plate sizes vary within the group, with the largest example being a sixth plate.

All photographs remain housed in their original protective cases with intact hinges and interior liners. The lot provides a varied assortment of cased tintype and ambrotype portraits suitable for collectors of nineteenth-century photographic material.
