Group of four carte de visite–size tintypes depicting Victorian subjects posed with stereoviewers and photographic materials. The images include two group portraits of women examining stereoview cards, a seated woman holding a book beside a stereoscopic viewer, and a man displaying a stereoview card to the camera. The tintypes date to the late nineteenth century.

The photographs reflect the widespread popularity of stereoscopic viewing and photographic entertainment during the Victorian period, when stereoviewers and photographic albums were common household objects.

The lot consists of four unmounted tintypes of CDV size, one with clipped corners. No photographer’s imprints visible.
