A chafing dish stand from Gustav Stickley's Craftsman Workshops, model 352, combines hammered copper with quarter sawn oak. A circular copper lid tops a cylindrical copper body, supported above a copper burner stand on a round oak base. The stand was designed to hold a ceramic insert for tableside cooking.

The lid and sides carry an overall planished texture of small hammer marks. A turned oak handle rises from the center of the lid, secured by two copper straps fastened with round headed rivets. A long oak side handle extends from the burner assembly, allowing the stand to be lifted or adjusted. The oak base is rimmed with a riveted copper band, and a small copper burner sits at the center beneath the lid.

Gustav Stickley's metal shop produced hammered copper accessories to complement Craftsman furniture, emphasizing visible construction and hand wrought surfaces consistent with the Arts and Crafts ideals of the workshop. The chafing dish line paired copper stands of this type with a ceramic terra cotta insert that sat within the copper ring beneath the lid for tableside serving.

The stand measures 16 inches in diameter and bears a circular Stickley mark. The original terra cotta insert is not present.
