He has an umbrella over his shoulder holding the trunk. The figure at right stands in profile leaning on a closed umbrella, wearing knitted mittens, a double-breasted long overcoat, a darker felt hat pulled low, and matching rubber overshoes. He carries a white cylindrical bedroll or canvas bundle on his shoulder, with both hands, a an umbrella.

The reverse bears a handwritten date in ink reading "Jan 29-1899" at the upper left, with the catalog notations "2A700" and "8/23/08" along the right margin. The mount measures approximately 4 x 5 inches. The reverse bears the penciled inscription "Prince Bendon & Walking Figure" with the catalog notation "5/21/06 / OOBATE1 / Ep."
