Three women pose in the open doorway of a millinery and fancy goods shop in this albumen cabinet card, the reverse bearing an oval stamp for National View Co., represented by W.N. Sweet, and a handwritten notation reading "SF." The partial signage visible at the right edge of the frame reads "McMu... Sist... Milli..." consistent with a business named McMurray Sisters Millinery or similar. The dress and storefront appointments are consistent with the mid to late 1880s.

The shop occupies the ground floor of a two-story brick building, its facade fitted with a scalloped canvas awning lettered "Millinery" across the valance and a painted window sign reading "Fancy Goods." The large display window at left is filled with a diamond-patterned arrangement of goods, and a tiered display case on the sidewalk holds additional merchandise including fans and small hats. A wire mesh stand or bin sits at the base of the display case on the brick sidewalk. The three women wear dark, fitted dresses with bustled skirts, and each is hatted, the rightmost figure holding a hat at her side.

The reverse bears an oval rubber stamp imprint reading "National View Co., Represented by W.N. Sweet, The New King," along with a handwritten notation "SF" above the stamp.
