Fine late 19th-century cabinet card photograph of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah, by renowned Western photographer Charles Roscoe Savage. The sweeping view captures the Tabernacle’s distinctive domed roof and colonnaded base, framed by manicured walkways, leafless trees, and early landscaping that emphasizes the symmetry and monumental scale of the structure.

The image is boldly captioned in the negative, “Tabernacle, Salt Lake,” and bears the photographer’s mark, “C.R. Savage, Photo.” The verso carries Savage’s elaborately printed backmark from his "Art Bazar" at 12 and 14 Main Street in Salt Lake City, promoting his “Views of the Great West.” It also touts his awards at the Territorial Fairs of 1888–1890 and a first prize in 1891, helping date the print to the early 1890s.

Savage was one of the most prolific and respected photographers of the American West, particularly known for his documentation of Utah and LDS Church landmarks. This cabinet card presents not only one of his best-known subjects but also serves as a striking architectural study of one of the most iconic religious buildings in the American West. An important and highly displayable example of Western and Mormon photographic history.
