We are pleased to announce our next auction, featuring approximately 200 individual lots drawn from a diverse and compelling range of 19th- and early 20th-century photography. This sale focuses on vernacular images, photographs created not as formal studio portraits or elite commissions, but as direct, unscripted records of lived experience. These are objects made by and for everyday people, preserving moments of intimacy, labor, travel, performance, identity, and loss.

An exceptionally vivid and rare stereo daguerreotype of a seated nude model, presented in superb hand-tinted detail. Each half of the stereoscopic pair captures a sensuous and naturalistic pose of the same young woman, partially draped with a green cloth and posed against a textured studio backdrop. Her cheeks and lips are tinted with a delicate pink wash, while the drapery, cushion, and background are rendered in lush shades of green, yellow, and blue, creating a painterly effect uncommon in daguerreian erotica.

The composition is strikingly intimate yet carefully constructed, evoking the visual language of neoclassical art filtered through the lens of early photographic experimentation. Mounted under gold masking with black backing, and housed in its original stereo mount, this mid-19th-century image exemplifies the intersection of fine art and photography. A museum-quality image representing one of the rarest formats in early photographic eroticism.
