Timothy H. O’Sullivan was a Civil War photographer associated with Alexander Gardner’s Washington studio.
The scene shows two large board storehouse structures with open doorways, surrounded by stacked barrels and supply crates. A line of uniformed men stands in front of the buildings, while additional figures handle boxes and supplies near the entrances. Tents are visible among tall pine trees in the background, and a horse stands at the right beside additional stores and equipment.
