Rare albumen stereoview mounted on bright orange card depicting a formally dressed little person couple posed in a studio interior. The woman, identified in manuscript on the mount as “Chiquita and husband,” (famous Cuban performer Alize Espiridiona Cenda del Castillo) stands elevated on an ornate wicker platform chair beside a taller gentleman in dark suit and bow tie. Decorative painted backdrop, mantelpiece, and studio furnishings visible.

The title “Chiquita and husband” is written in ink along the lower mount. Embossed decorative studio imprint appears along the right border of the mount.

Verso bears a faint purple stamp reading: “Camera and Photographic Supplies, 1529 Prairie Avenue, Peru, Indiana.” Additional pencil inventory notations to lower margin.

Historically associated with 19th-century exhibition culture; period terminology included “dwarf” and “midget.”
