Albumen stereoview photograph showing Baldwin's airship exhibited at the Portland Exposition, Oregon. The large dirigible balloon is shown tethered above a crowd of spectators gathered around the airship frame and gondola. The word "Gelatine" is visible on the surface of the balloon. The view likely dates to the early twentieth century.

The photograph documents an early American dirigible developed by aeronautical pioneer Thomas Scott Baldwin, whose exhibition flights and demonstrations helped popularize powered ballooning in the United States during the first decade of the twentieth century.

The mount bears a contemporary manuscript caption reading "Baldwin's AirShip. Portland Exp. Ore." The verso is blank except for pencil notations.
