The second is titled in script “Mr. & Mrs. General Tom Thumb in their wedding costume,” showing the couple standing together in studio interior with draped backdrop and column. Fine printed credit below reads “Entered according to Act of Congress…” with E. & H. T. Anthony attribution. The third card, titled “The Reception,” depicts a reception scene with the couple and attendants gathered around a table beneath a chandelier. Verso of one example reads: “Compliments of Charles Stratton. Compliments of Lavinia Warren Stratton. From Photographic Negative by Brady. Published by E. & H. T. Anthony, 501 Broadway, New York.” Additional pencil notations to verso of another card identify Stratton, Charles Sherwood (1838–1883) with Lavinia Warren Bump and “Tom Thumb.” A well-known 19th century celebrity wedding series issued by Anthony from Brady negatives.
