Real photo postcard with hand-applied color depicting a young child in a teal and white dress perched on a "paper moon" prop against a dark night sky, holding a small prop in one hand. The coloring is applied to the child's clothing and accessories, while the moon and background retain their photographic tones. The composition is typical of the Continental European novelty studio moon portrait format popular in the first decade of the twentieth century.

The reverse was mailed as a Carte Postale with a French red stamp and bears a handwritten message in French dated Paris, signed Ch. Cammaître, addressed to Mademoiselle M. Prasse, Chez ses Parents, 2 Rue Rarnon, Charenton-le-Pont, Seine. The combination of hand coloring, French correspondence, and Paris origin makes this a characterful and well-documented example of the European paper moon postcard genre.

The reverse reads: Mailed Carte Postale reverse with French red stamp, handwritten French message dated Paris signed Ch. Cammaître, addressed to Mademoiselle M. Prasse, Charenton-le-Pont, Seine. Handwritten inscriptions read: Ink French correspondence message with address on reverse.
