Patrick Sarsfield Gilmore (1829–1892) was an Irish-born American bandleader and composer known for organizing large-scale musical festivals and for his work as director of the Gilmore Band. He is associated with the popularization of American patriotic band music in the nineteenth century.
The mount is a yellow stereoview card with square image mounts. The verso includes a pencil inscription reading “Patrick Sarsfield Gilmore” along with additional collector notations.
