Albumen stereoview titled Frank Beard – Sketching, published by L. E. Walker of Warsaw, New York. The view shows the American artist seated on a porch sketching while several children and an adult observe. Additional figures appear seated at a table in the background interior.

Frank Beard (1842–1905) was an American illustrator and artist best known for his work for Harper & Brothers during the Civil War era and later as a professor of fine arts at Syracuse University. The photograph depicts Beard engaged in drawing from life, reflecting his career as an illustrator and teacher.

Publisher’s imprint printed on the mount margins reading “L. E. Walker, Warsaw, N.Y.” with the title printed below the images. A modern note accompanying the stereoview identifies the sitter and provides brief biographical information.
