The mat stamp aligns with the photographer Jeremiah Meyers, who is documented as operating as a daguerreian at the corner of Main and Exchange Streets in Buffalo, New York, circa 1849–1850, as noted. While no paper label or full studio imprint is present, the stamped mat supports this attribution.

The daguerreotype is set behind an oval brass mat with decorative border, within a leather-covered wooden case featuring an embossed geometric and foliate design on the exterior. No additional handwritten inscriptions or paper labels are visible.
