A quarter plate daguerreotype featuring a young boy standing confidently with one hand resting on a patterned tablecloth. The leg of the posing brace is faintly visible behind him, a subtle nod to the photographic techniques of the time. His plaid smock is lightly tinted in red, complementing his wide belt and unique hairstyle, styled with a distinct curl. The leather and wood case housing the image has a broken hinge.
