Albumen stereoview photograph depicting a densely crowded city street scene viewed from an elevated vantage point. A large parade or public gathering fills the street below, with spectators lining the sidewalks and building fronts while a procession moves through the center of the avenue.

This is a copy of the E. & H. T. Anthony stereoview 8063 of the "Grand Procession, April 10th 1871, in Commemoration of the Treaty of Peacebetween Germany and France.

Prominent signage on the corner building reads “Museum of Anatomy” and “Gas Fixtures,” with the word “Museum” painted in large letters across the façade. Other storefront signs visible include “Solar Printing.” The image captures a lively urban scene with hundreds of people gathered along the thoroughfare, suggesting a parade, civic celebration, or major public event in a late nineteenth-century American city.

The reverse of the mount is blank aside from a faint pencil notation reading “792 Y4.” Large crowd scenes and parade views are desirable examples of early street photography and document the scale and energy of urban public gatherings during the period.
