Description: Sepia CDV portrait of an elderly, bald gentleman in dark coat, photographed as a dignified, late-life likeness with a plain studio background—very much in the “statesman portrait” tradition that Brady’s operation marketed heavily.

Reverse is boldly imprinted “Brady’s National Portrait Gallery, 785 Broadway, New York” (as shown) and is penciled “John Quincy Adams … President U.S. 1825–1829” with life dates noted 1767–1848 (all as written). A collector label is also present on the back.

A standout identification card: even when treated strictly as an attributed example, it’s a strong Brady back with period pencil ID to one of the most collected American political figures of the 19th century.
