Cabinet card portrait of Jennie Quigley, a little person performer, shown in a full figure studio portrait. Quigley is depicted wearing a patterned dress with lace collar and decorative jewelry including earrings, a choker necklace, and several pendants pinned to the bodice. Her hair is styled in curled bangs and swept back, and she is posed turned slightly to the side against an elaborate studio background.

The mount bears the imprint “Robinson & Roe” with studio addresses printed “77 & 79 Clark St., Chicago” and “54 W. 14th Street, New York.” Such portraits of little person performers were commonly produced and circulated during the late nineteenth century as collectible cabinet cards connected with traveling exhibitions, theatrical productions, and curiosity shows.

The reverse bears a handwritten identification reading “Jennie Quigley, 28 years, 37 inches, 48 pounds.” Cabinet card format with studio imprint on the front mount and later inscription on the reverse.
