Albumen cabinet card portrait dating circa 1890s depicting a seated young man posed before a miniature marionette theater. The stage above him displays hand puppets and scenery, with the sign reading Clarence A. White. Small puppet figures are positioned at the sides and lower edge of the stage, and additional figures rest on the floor near the sitter.

The mount is printed J. E. Wood, Goshen, N.Y. in gilt lettering along the lower margin. The theatrical display and name above the stage suggest the sitter is Clarence A. White, presumably the puppeteer represented in the scene.
