Cabinet card photograph depicting the well-known little person performer Admiral Dot (Leopold Kahn) standing in costume beside two young girls identified as Jennie Quigley and another child performer. Admiral Dot appears in theatrical dress including a feathered cap, belted tunic, and boots, posed beside a studio ladder while one child stands perched on the rung and another sits on a small chair. The staged studio setting includes carpeted floor covering and a theatrical prop at right. The image relates to the popular late-19th century exhibition and circus circuits that featured little person performers.

The mount bears the photographer’s imprint “Warren’s” beneath the image. A handwritten note on the reverse reads “admiral DOT & Jennie Quigley talk to Grant.” A modern research note accompanying the photograph indicates the performers may be connected to Col. Ruth Goshen’s circus troupe, with comparison to another cabinet card showing the group photographed with Goshen, noted as approximately 7 ft. 8 in. tall, though this attribution requires further verification.

Cabinet card photograph with printed studio imprint and later handwritten identification on the reverse.
