An antique ninth plate daguerreotype plate box, complete with its original label, reading "Extra Superfine." This wooden box measures approximately 3 x 8 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches and retains its authentic charm with compartments for plate storage and carefully crafted grooves.
Subtle pencil markings on the side of the box add to its historical intrigue, though the writing is partially faded and challenging to decipher.
