The upper front photograph shows a studio group portrait of seven Native American men posed with blankets, beadwork, staffs, and feathered headdresses against a painted studio backdrop. The lower front photograph shows a standing Native American man wearing a large feather headdress and holding a hatchet and revolver while posed outdoors with one foot raised on a rock. The reverse of the album page contains two architectural views identified in-image as “Hotel del Monte, full front view” and “Ground and Front, ‘Hotel del Monte,’ Monterey,” both credited “Taber Photo, San Francisco,” showing the hotel building and landscaped grounds with large trees and walkways.
